A Free Gift For You
God has a guaranteed solution for you that is offered absolutely free. How can I declare that with such certainty? Because God has a way of salvation that absolutely everyone can handle. Do you think it is just too hard for you to follow God? If you do, then you do not understand God’s perfect grace.
He has made a way so everyone else can easily make it through anything—even the most troubled and weakest persons.
The Church may be failing you. But Jesus won’t fail you.
Get grounded in these few simple things, and you’ll be good to go. Then, when things get bad – even really bad – you’ll be on solid ground. This is so, even if it is your fault that things went bad, or you are convinced that you are a useless burden to others. Even if you have no strength left to fight or the will to live, all these things will be overcome. The only thing that you will really need to do is learn how to place your hope in the right place.
Putting Your Hope in the Right Place
What is the “right place” for your hope? Well, the right place is not to place it in yourself. Nor do you have to find someone trustworthy enough to help you adequately.
There is One who is adequate. Perhaps you are a born-again Christian and believe you have tried hoping in Jesus, which didn’t work for you. Well, I am here to tell you that I am certain that you have not understood God’s gracious terms for rescue. Many Christians do not understand that the Christian life is not designed to be burdensome for the believer.
The Greatest Proclamation Ever Made
Jesus says, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
This is the greatest single proclamation ever made in all history. It is also 100% true and reliable. You can “take it to the bank,” as they say.
I speak particularly to those at the rope’s end and ready to throw in the towel. It is not necessary! You may think your life is worthless to anyone and for anything. This is not true. God really does love you and is willing to demonstrate that love to you.
God has a wonderful plan for your life. Even though all others have failed you, and even if you believe your failures are beyond redemption, YOU ARE NOT BEYOND REDEMPTION.
The Real Meaning of Grace
You must understand the real meaning of grace. Grace means that your belief that you are beyond redemption is overcome by Jesus’ death. It is overcome by your bringing that belief to God. You must learn to rely on what Christ did on the cross for all, including you. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
What our Heavenly Father sent His Son to do was to offer a perfect sacrifice for you. That perfect sacrifice has flawlessly paid for your redemption from yourself!
God’s Way of Escape
Do you want to die? Jesus will put you out of your misery – not by eliminating you but by eliminating the old you. The one that made (at least part of ) the mess you’re in and can’t take life anymore. He will give you a new you. You must learn to let Him put the old you to death daily. As this happens, then, a new life will emerge in you. Maybe we could call this you, 2.0. It will actually be Jesus’ own life alive in you. It is beyond awesome – I am not exaggerating here.
How does this happen? It happens as you accept (sort of like a child) Jesus’ death as the complete and only sufficient payment for your redemption. Thus you learn to present that offering (of His crucified Son) to God and receive the rescue. God will take care of the rest. You don’t have to figure it all out. It will be just like going to the ticket booth to redeem your daily gift.
An Amazing Future for You!
I am not cheapening God’s offering by saying this. The other things, like having righteousness, psychological freedom, and God’s love in your heart, will emerge in you over time. He will, over time, get rid of every evil, unlovable or unworthy aspect of your life. He will make your life a fountain of living water. Your job is to keep presenting your mess to God.
Just present Christ’s payment for you, hold on tight, and refuse to let go. Hold fast to His testimony – that Christ’s sacrifice is sufficient payment – and victory will be certain for you. I absolutely, positively guarantee that God will come through for you on these terms; Always, every time, and forever, no matter what other factors are involved.
You see, Jesus actually did die for us, and it changed everything forever. Most Christians don’t even understand the absolute nature of God’s commitment to us through the offering of His Son on our behalf. We wrongly think we have to make things happen. We are called to enter His rest. (Heb. 4)
Jesus’ redemption is redemption from ourselves. It is as applicable to those who have never believed in Christ as to those who have not yet understood or daily employed God’s fail-safe solution.
Christ will rescue you from whatever thing you cannot bear. He will make your feet like hind’s feet and cause you to walk on places you have never known. Jesus is everything He said He was.
